Outpost upgrade order

What is the best GRAIN ROT Outpost upgrade order?
There is no universal best Outpost upgrade order. Buy health, stamina, or damage to fix the failure that repeatedly ends your runs, then invest in Workshop and elevator consistency.

There is no universal best order

Upgrade the room that addresses the last repeatable reason a run failed. Health helps when one more hit would have saved the run, stamina helps when the retreat ends with an empty bar, and damage helps when controlled fights take too long. Workshop and elevator progression become more valuable when basic survival is already consistent.

Read the room plaque first

Current gameplay videos show that each Outpost room has a plaque describing its permanent effect. The Training Hall affects damage, the Hall of Resolve affects maximum stamina, and the Hall of Vigor affects maximum health. Use the displayed modifier in your current build instead of relying on a copied table from the demo.

Health or stamina first

Health is the safer choice when environmental damage or one enemy hit repeatedly ends an otherwise successful return. Stamina should move ahead when you survive contact but cannot create enough distance to reach the elevator. Buy one meaningful improvement, compare a similar run, and then decide whether the same weakness still exists.

When damage is worth buying

Damage is useful after positioning and retreat timing are under control. It shortens the time an enemy can interrupt hauling, call attention to the room, or damage a valuable item. It does not solve a bad route, an empty stamina bar, or a fight that should have been avoided.

Workshop and item access

Gameplay material describes the Workshop or shop room as the route to stronger weapons and new utilities. Upgrade it when the current item pool blocks progress, not simply because another refresh might produce one desired roll. Current community discussions also connect later shop tiers with healing supplies and stronger equipment, but exact unlock levels remain version-sensitive.

Basement and elevator progression

The Basement plaque is reported to reduce blank elevator outcomes as it levels. That is a consistency upgrade for players who can already complete ordinary descents, rather than the first fix for low survivability. Official launch material separately confirms the second Outpost floor, new NPCs, player leveling, and the Enchantment and Repair Machine.

Numbers and caps need a version label

Videos and third-party tables show several room caps and per-level values, but some were recorded in the demo or Patch 1.03. Patch 1.07 was the current baseline during this review, and a complete current table was not available. Publish exact costs, caps, and modifiers only beside a screenshot or recording of the same build.
